Six visits have been scheduled so far and FAI FVG will take wine lovers and wine tourists to different locations around the region, listening to wine companies' stories from their owners' and founders' voices and tasting their exquisite wines.

May 6 – Cantina Principi di Porcia
From 10 am to 2.30 pm at Principi di Porcia's farm in Azzano Decimo (Pordenone)
Guided tours of the wine cellar and of the farm with the owner, the Count of Porcia who will particularly stress all the company's sustainable production processes. A sommelier will give hints to visitors while they taste Principi di Porcia's own wines, paired with local products.

May 13 – Cantina Klin and Contovello-Kontovel medieval town
From 4 pm to 8.30 pm, starting from Stagno di Contovello-Kontovel (Contovello's Pound), near Prosecco (Trieste)
Four shifts to visit Klin Vina's winemaking location. But first, visitors will take a walk through the streets of Contovello-Kontovel, a typical medieval village in the Karst highland area, north of Trieste. From there, a stunning view of the blue waters of the Gulf of Trieste below them, will leave wine tourists breathless. Katrin Štoka, owner of Klin Vina, will show visitors around her cantina and her farm. “Klin” comes from the Slovenian word “Klinjevetz”, the name of the terraces where the main vineyards – belonging to her family for generations – are located. Wine tastings with Klin Vina's wines paired with local products.

May 21 – Cantina Rive Col de Fer and Verdiso's vineyards
From 9 am to 5.30 pm, starting from via Col de Fer in Caneva (Pordenone)
Four shifts to visit Verdiso's vineyards with an ancient and very peculiar native vine variety, recovered and enhanced by winemaking family company Rive Col de Fer, on the hills of Caneva and just by its castle. Alessia Carli and husband Lino Cigana, Rive Col de Fer's owners, will show visitors around their property and tell them the history behind those vineyards's recovery – finally ending with wine tastings of their own production. Local products by Consortium Figo Moro da Caneva (a typical, native fig) will be on sale along with the wines.

A visit at 3.45 pm, starting from Villa Maseri in Oleis di Manzano (Udine)
A botanical walk (about 4 km) with experts up to Torre Rosazza winemakers' vineyards, where they grow the native Pignolo vine variety, picking up fossils and flowers on the way. Afterwards Ben Little, author of the first book about Pignolo, and viticulture expert Wayne Yang will chat with visitors during a pleasant wine tasting by the vineyard. Then, the group will be back at Villa Maseri for a display of plants' processing into cosmetical products. From May 26 up to May 28, Oleis di Manzano will also host an olive oil festival at Villa Maseri's Park, “Olio e Dintorni”: oil sales, wine and food tastings, live music and events, with an open cuisine all day long in the weekend.

June 11 – Corno di Rosazzo (UD)
A walk in Corno di Rosazzo with art historians, visiting three of the seven little churches on the path, ending with a wine tasting in collaboration with Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli Venezia Giulia. More details are about to be defined.

June 28 – Cantina Merlak and “Mare e Vitovska in Morje” preview
A visit at 6 pm, at Merlak's in Dolina – San Dorligo della Valle (Trieste)
A walk through the vineyards in Dolina where Martin Merlak makes his natural wines – and not only that: in his farm, he makes olive oil, hams and salami to be enjoyed at the family's own osmiza. The walk is also a tribute to one of the Karst region's native vine variety, the Vitovska, to which every year the consortium Carso Vino Kras devote a summer festival, “Mare e Vitovska in Morje” (Vitovska by the Sea): this year the event will take place on June 30 and July 1, at the Duino Castle. The visit will end with Merlak wines' tastings.
