Folkclinic is the festival’s program of workshops and masterclasses. Created by Maurizio Bettelli and Michele Gazich, the “clinics” will be held at Biblioteca Guarneriana and at Scriptorium Foroiuliense in via Udine. There’ll be five kinds of meetings for musicians and for the general public, featuring music composing, song writing and much more.
From June 30 to July 3, the city of San Daniele will host food tastings, open air picnics, masterclasses, meetings revolving around one main topic: the renowned Prosciutto di San Daniele, or San Daniele ham, one of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s most famous DOP (Denomination of protected origin) products. Supported by Consorzio del Prosciutto di San Daniele, the municipality and the local Pro Loco, the ham festival Aria di Festa this year turns 37 and, as usual, on this occasion all local ham-makers (prosciuttifici) will open their doors to visitors for a round of tastings directly at the producers’ facilities. Tourists can also join some of the many ham-based picnics in the open air (reservations here) and the many talks and masterclasses to know more about the delicious San Daniele ham.
