The bike-in will be in the Cinebike Arena, in Grado (near Gorizia), and entry will be granted to all those arriving by bike, by scooter or on foot, thus promoting a “slow and green” approach – and a more sustainable mobility. All by the sea, in the splendid setting of Grado which every summer attracts multitude of tourists, and many of them from abroad.
The festival program features both oldies, like movies by renowned Italian director Dino Risi and French director Jacques Tati, and recent or new movies, with previews and documentaries too. Cinebike also set up a national competition for schools, Cinebike Shorts (in collaboration with MyMovies): the two winners will be announced on June 19 with a special award ceremony at Parco delle Rose, featuring famed Italian rapper and DJ Frankie hi-nrg mc.
Not only cinema. Cinebike movie festival has set up a full program of events, all promoting the same idea of slow and sustainable mobility. A lot of bike tours, of course, combined with entertainment, like the one ending with The Goodfellas' concert (featuring great movie scores, including Ennio Morricone's) on June 17, and the next day, on June 18, another bike tour with a concert by Circular Meetings and a lunch-stop by Riserva Alberoni, a restaurant serving typical local food in nearby Staranzano.
Plus cinema masterclasses, book talks, nature routes by bike, local food & wine tastings and a workshop for children, “I suoni del mare” (Sea sounds) on June 21: children will learn how to create musical instruments with objects you can find on the beach (age 6-10).
Bike tours and other events can be booked directly on Cinebike's official website.
