Winemakers from all over Friuli will be joined by local farmers and delicacy producers, and will showcase to visitors their products: reds, whites and sparklings plus local cheese, hams, sweets and more. A chance not to be missed by foodies and winelovers as well, to taste Friulian regional wines and specialties. Wine tastings and food tastings will be up from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and winemakers and producers will be sharing their stories with visitors. All participants will be gifted some special breads: the Patto della farina del Friuli Orientale's bread (Oriental Friulian Flour's Pact) by Bakery “Iordan”, made with high-quality and sustainable flours, and the Roman bread by Bakery “Sandrigo”. A perfect opportunity for some high-quality wine tourism too, as Aquileia hosts a fabulous Unesco's World Heritage site.
«Sabato del Vignaiolo is a national event meant for whoever yearns for a life experience, not just as a mere consumer – said Luca Raccaro, Friuli Venezia Giulia's representative for FIVI – It's open and everybody can taste and buy wines directly from their producers. For Friulians is a much appreciated comeback, as we first organized in the past years a local market with local associations Arci Hybrida Space and Arci Bar Sport, following the Piacenza-based annual national market's example». The Vine Grower's Saturday in Aquileia is organized together with Aquileia Municipality, local retail dealers from the association “Aquileia te salutat” and local association “Curatores”.
