three young talents among 162 applicants.
A group of young curators have selected the shows that will be included in the program of Eredi, Mittelfest 2021:
PPP - I present you Albania for prose, Amuse * d for music and Portrait of a Post-Habsburgian for dance.
“The days of Mittelyoung were really important and significant - explains the artistic director Giacomo Pedini -
we brought young artists from different European countries to Cividale who have performed live after
a long time, showing their vision of the post-pandemic reality.
The same curators, after months of remote work, finally met and got to know the artists they selected.
In fact, a small community was born, a system of relations between professionals and artists who in
Cividale presented unpublished, really interesting and quality works: Mittelyoung represents a mosaic
of European heritage and new scenarios and for this reason we are already working to throw the foundations
of the next edition, to give it more strength and breath”.
The three winning shows bring together Italy, Albania, Germany, Greece, the Czech Republic and the
echoes of many other borders, drawing the portrait of multiple cultural heritages.
In PPP-Ti presento l 'Albania, Klaus Martini, an Italian actor born in Albania, tells Pier Paolo Pasolini
his story, the migration of his parents, the legends handed down by his grandparents and the conflicting
feelings that haunt him with respect to belonging to the their origins.
In Amuse * d, the three musicians of the Mosatrïc Ensemble bring melodies from Greece, the Balkans,
Spain, Scandinavia and even the harmonies of jazz to the stage, combining music, dance and the transition
between sound and movement.
Finally, the Portrait of a Post-Habsburgian show is Sara Koluchova's unpublished solo inspired by Czech folk
dance and costume and based on movement, a self-portrait made of dance that explores the dialogue between
heritage, body, tradition and modernity .
