Prolocos are widespread all over Italy. They're local associations promoting their territory’s culture and traditions, and there's nearly one in every town, setting up every sort of events. Pro Loco Risorgive Medio Friuli was funded in Bertiolo almost 50 years ago, in 1973, and has since been busy promoting the Medio Friuli – Middle Friuli's area. Nowadays it organizes many events all year round: Pignarûl (New Year's bonfire) on Epiphany Day, Carnival, Festa Regionale del Vino Friulano, Sapori Pro Loco (Pro Loco Flavours), Calici di Stelle, Wine Competition and Exhibit “Bertiûl tal Friûl”, Bertiolo's cultural season. It also managed to purchase the XIX century building where it set up its own Enoteca (wine shop), now serving as the location for the Friulian Wine's Regional Festival and the Wine Competition.
