25 years of good music and... good wines. It's an outstanding achievement for the festival Jazz & Wine of Peace 2022, managed by Circolo Controtempo and taking place in Cormòns (Gorizia) from October 19 to October 23. Since its inception, the festival has been able to pair Friuli Venezia Giulia's wines to live music, with star-studded programmes and unforgettable wine experiences in the marvellous surroundings of the Collio hills between Gorizia and Slovenia.
And the bound with its territory is even more manifest for its 25th edition, with concerts and wine tastings in Cormòns and nearby towns involving winemaking facilities, wine bars, historical mansions and palaces – all the while celebrating its quest for peace and brotherhood, too.
Under the artistic direction of Mauro Bardusco, Jazz & Wine of Peace 2022 will feature 25 concerts starring Italian and international jazz artists: from Michel Portal (France) to Javier Girotto (Argentina), from Bugge Wesseltoft (Norway) to Henrik Schwarz (Germany). Plus emerging musicians like Binker & Moses (UK) and Elder Ones Quartet withAmirtha Kidambi (India).

Jazz&Taste, wine tastings with live music
It's been establishing itself as one of the not-to-be missed events of Jazz & Wine of Peace. “Jazz&Taste” takes visitors aorund the Collio hills into wine cellars and wine makers' facilities for guided wine tastings with professional sommeliers, combined with live music inspired directly by the wines themselves and composed on purpose. Artistic director Eduardo Contizanetti set up 8 concerts with special locations: all of them at local winemakers', surrounded by vineyards, and with a perfect mix of local wines and food to taste, along with live jazz.
